Safe and Successful Youth Initiative- Legislative Report – FY24

Our ForHealth Consulting team recently authored the Safe and Successful Youth Initiative’s (SSYI) fiscal year report (LINK TO REPORT) on behalf of the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS). The SSYI is a program serving high-risk youth that is managed by the Office of Children, Youth and Families at the EOHHS. The program consists of two components:

  • The Youth Violence Intervention Program isa police-community partnership focused on providing outreach to a focused group of young people in the 14 Massachusetts cities with the highest levels of crime.
  • The Human Trafficking Intervention Program is an initiative funding three agencies to provide support to youth of all genders who are survivors of or at risk of commercial sexual exploitation.

This fiscal year report is issued in accordance with the funding for the program, as specified in the FY2025 General Appropriations Act, line item 4000-0005. The report is written for legislators, programs, and members of the general public who are interested in prevention and intervention of youth violence and commercial sexual exploitation.
