Work Without Limits, a program of ForHealth Consulting™ at UMass Chan Medical School, will host a virtual career fair for qualified job candidates with disabilities on Tuesday March 7, 2023 from 1:30 to 3:30 PM ET. The event provides candidates the opportunity to network with leading inclusive employers and the chance to learn about available internships and career paths.
More than 30 inclusive employers from the Work Without Limits Business Network will participate along with organizations outside of the Network. Qualified candidates have been sourced from more than 100 organizations, including colleges, universities, and public and private vocational rehabilitation agencies.
“The annual Work Without Limits career fair directly connects disability-inclusive employers and qualified job candidates, while reaffirming our commitment to partnering with the business community to develop inclusive recruitment practices that lead to employment for individuals with disabilities,” said Lisa M. Colombo, DNP, MHA, RN, executive vice chancellor of ForHealth Consulting.
Job seekers who want more information or would like to register should visit the Work Without Limits website and sign up; the deadline to register is March 2. In addition to access to nearly 200 qualified candidates, recruiting organizations received two live webinar trainings for recruiters on disability etiquette and interviewing candidates with disabilities before the event.
“It is our mission to connect job candidates and the organizations that support them to employers who are truly committed to diversifying and strengthening their workforce by employing individuals with disabilities,” said Kathy Petkauskos, director of Work Without Limits. “This is a premier event that we look forward to every year, along with the disability and employer communities.”
