Work Without Limits, a program of ForHealth Consulting, the health care consulting division of UMass Chan Medical School, will host a virtual career fair tailored for qualified job candidates with disabilities on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. ET. The event provides job candidates with opportunities to network with leading disability-inclusive employers and learn about available internships and career paths.
“Providing pathways to successful employment for individuals with disabilities is the foundation of what we do at Work Without Limits,” said Lisa M. Colombo, DNP, MHA, RN, executive vice chancellor for ForHealth Consulting. “Our partnerships in the business community empower us to provide inclusive trainings and recruitment initiatives, including our annual Work Without Limits career fair, and we are proud of the employment outcomes that these connections provide for qualified job candidates and employers who are committed to disability inclusion.”
Approximately 30 employers from the Work Without Limits Business Network will participate, along with organizations outside of the network. Recruiting employers will have access to qualified candidates sourced from more than 100 organizations, including colleges, universities, and public and private vocational rehabilitation agencies.
Eastern Bank, MassMutual, and MIT Sloan School of Management, gold members of the Work Without Limits Business Network, are sponsoring the event. There are remaining sponsorship opportunities for employers that wish to highlight their commitment to disability inclusion and recruit diverse candidates into their workplaces.
“It is our mission to connect job candidates and the organizations that support them to employers who are truly committed to diversifying and strengthening their workforce by employing individuals with disabilities,” said Kathy Petkauskos, director of Work Without Limits. “This is a premier event that we, along with the disability and employer communities, look forward to every year, and we can’t wait for February 28.”
Organizations interested in sponsoring or recruiting at the event should contact Kathy Muhr, director of community engagement at Work Without Limits. The cost to recruit at the career fair is $600 for Work Without Limits Business Network members and $1,200 for organizations not in the network. In addition to access to more than 100 qualified candidates, recruiting organizations will receive:
- Virtual recruitment space with company branding

- Prep virtual platform training for recruiters
