ForHealth Consulting Experts Attend 2024 Managed Care Pharmacy Conference and Participate in Scholarly Sessions

In April, a group of pharmacy experts from ForHealth Consulting at UMass Chan Medical School participated in the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP)‘s 2024 Conference in New Orleans. Many of these experts serve on key AMCP committees; at the conference, some contributed to expert speaker panels and shared their research and clinical expertise on a wide range of topics.

Thomas C. Pomfret, PharmD, MPH, BCPS, managed care pharmacy residency program director and clinical team lead, who serves on the AMCP Professional Practice Committee, received the AMCP Individual Contribution Award, which recognizes a member for making a significant contribution by any means other than service on an AMCP Committee.

Pomfret also moderated a session, “A Multi-Channel Approach Leveraging the Pharmacy Team to Resolve SDOH Barriers,” and served as a conference buddy mentor for pharmacy students interested in a career in managed care.

Kimberly Lenz, PharmD, MBA, FAMCP, Chief Pharmacy Office for MassHealth within the Office of Clinical Affairs, serves on the Educational Affairs and Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Committees. She also moderated a conference session, “You Can Round That! Establishing and Managing Mandatory Drug Wastage Programs.” Lenz also served as a conference buddy mentor.

Neha Kashalikar, PharmD, manager of strategic pharmacy contracting for MassHealth within the Office of Clinical Affairs, served as the MassHealth Manufacturer Meeting Lead and also serves on the AMCP Educational Affairs Committee.

Elham Heidari, PharmD, MSc, pharmacoeconomics specialist, served as a panelist on the “Formulary Decisions Session – Fireside Chat on Unapproved Product Dossiers.”
