ForHealth Consulting Experts Attend 2025 Managed Care Pharmacy Conference

ForHealth Consulting® at UMass Chan Medical School’s pharmacy experts participated in the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP)‘s recent 2025 Conference in Houston. More than 4,000 managed care pharmacy professionals from health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, and pharmaceutical companies attended the conference to discuss current trends and cutting-edge advancements in artificial intelligence, pipeline pharmaceuticals, disease management, and value-based contracting, among other items.

Our experts served on key AMCP committees, contributed to expert speaker panels, and shared their research and clinical expertise on a wide range of topics:

Thomas C. Pomfret, PharmD, MPH, BCPS, managed care pharmacy residency program director and clinical team lead, was installed as Vice Chair of the Professional Practice Committee for the next year. He served as a moderator and presenter of the “Managed Care Residency Directors Open Forum” as well as a moderator of a platform presentation on the management of migraines. Pomfret is a committee member participant on the Professional Practice Committee and served as a conference buddy mentor for pharmacy students interested in a career in managed care.

Katelyn Meyer, PharmD, managed care pharmacy resident, presented a poster on her research within the MassHealth population titled “An Evaluation of Real-World Persistence, Adherence, and Effectiveness of GLP-1 Medications for the Treatment of Overweight and Obesity in a Medicaid Population.” Meyer also served as a conference buddy mentor.
