A Multi-Stakeholder Developed Roadmap to Designing and Implementing a Crisis Diversion Center
For Health Consulting’s Senior Policy Associate Health & Justice Policy Chelsea Thomson recently presented at RISE26, All Rise’s Annual Conference. The conference focuses on addiction, mental health, and justice innovation.
Thomson presented with Billerica Chief of Police Roy Frost and Restoration Center of Greater Lowell Executive Director Muriel Kramer (of Vinfen). They discussed the work that the Middlesex County Restoration Center Commission undertook to develop the Center’s model, as well as early successes achieved and challenges faced.
Speakers highlighted the years of collaboration across agencies and partners to identify the community-based services that better support those experiencing a behavioral health crisis, helping avoid visits to the emergency department or jail.
